07 October 2013

We are pleased to announce the immediate release of performing rights for the smash-hit musical SUNSHINE ON LEITH.
The show was originally created and produced by Dundee Rep Theatre and follows the highs and lows of Ally and his friend Davy as they return home to Leith from the army.
SUNSHINE ON LEITH features a host of songs by the Proclaimers including: Over and Done With, Oh Jean, Letter from America and the classic, I’m Gonna Be (500 Miles).
A film adaptation of SUNSHINE ON LEITH was released in UK cinemas on 4th October and has received a host of 4 star reviews and critical acclaim from the national newspapers. To view the official movie trailer click here.
Managing Director, Sean Gray commented:
“Although somehow seeming quintessentially Scottish, the songs of The Proclaimers are known and loved throughout Britain and internationally. Stephen Greenhorn’s SUNSHINE ON LEITH, commissioned, first produced and later toured by Dundee Rep, and now a new movie, tells a timely and touching story about two soldiers returning to civilian life in Edinburgh. Heart-warming and energetic, this is a great new company show that we hope will give a lot of pleasure to performers and audiences.”
