PRIVACY POLICY

At Josef Weinberger Ltd., we license performing rights in various genres of theatre work (including plays, operetta, opera and ballet) and we publish and license concert, educational and religious music copyrights. In order to be able to communicate effectively with you concerning your licences of our works, we need to collect information from you.

We have made every effort to display the descriptions that appear on our website as accurately as possible. All items listed on our website are subject to availability.

By visiting the Josef Weinberger website or sharing any information with us, you agree to be bound by this Privacy Policy.

Security & Privacy

We take your privacy very seriously and will only use your information in the ways that you want us to. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect on this website, how and when it is collected, what we use it for now and how we will use it in the future. If you have any questions about the way in which we collect or use your information which are not answered by this Privacy Statement, please contact us by clicking here.

What information do we collect and how do we use it?

When you place an order or licensing enquiry with us, we collect the information we need to allow us to process your transaction or respond to your enquiry. If we are communicating with you for the purpose of licensing the performance of a play, this information includes your personal contact details (name, address, telephone number, email address), IP address of the computer making the order/enquiry and non-personal details of your order (the name of the show, performance dates, performance venue(s), ticket prices, material and resource requirements). We will use this information to evaluate your application or process your transaction and despatch your order.

When you apply for a licence or make a purchase on our website we use a 256-bit SSL encrypted secure Internet connection to protect your payment details and transfer them from our website to our payment processor Sagepay (www.sagepay.com) via protocol Transport Layer Security 1.2 (TLS 1.2). We do not store your payment card details, we only pass them securely to SagePay. This ensures the details you supply and any responses from them are securely encrypted before they are sent over the Internet.

In order to process your application, request for resources and/or to deliver your purchases to you, we may be required to pass your information to some of our service providers. Your name, address, contact telephone number and email address will be passed on to our courier company (we use Parcelforce Worldwide and DHL) who may contact you by phone or text message in order to update you on the delivery date or time of your order. Your name, email address and telephone number, along with details surrounding a licensed performance, may be passed to other Josef Weinberger companies to assist in the delivery of requested resources. We will only provide these companies with the information they need to carry out the delivery of your goods. They are only allowed to use your information in the way in which we tell them, and they are not be entitled to use it in their own right.

For our Royalty Beneficiaries (composers, authors, heirs, rightsholders, representatives, agents etc.) and our Trade Suppliers, we need to collect information that facilitates payments in line with the agreed Terms & Conditions of contracts in existence at any time.  This includes contact details (names, addresses, telephone numbers, email addresses), tax details (residency status, tax reference numbers), payment information (bank details), transaction history (invoices, payments, correspondence, queries etc.)

For payments, we use Third Party Companies who are all Registered FCA (Financial Conduct Authority - Anti-Money laundering) and HMRC Registered businesses.  Bank details are held by the paying bank and are also stored on our Accounts system in order to process secure BACS/CHAPS and other EFT transfers. Our Accounts system is securely pass-worded and continuously backed-up to multiple sources for security.

We occasionally have queries with payment routings and changed Bank Account details and, therefore, we may need to pass your bank details on to an overseas bank in order for the payment to be rectified or resent. Our current Relationship Bank, “NatWest Bank”, has appropriate security in place to ensure that these details are secure.

How long will the data be held?

We retain your personal data for no more than 2 (two) years after the completion of a contract. For the avoidance of doubt, a contract is deemed completed when all performances outlined on the contract have taken place and all invoices relating to said contract have been paid in full.

Personal data submitted in a request for perusal material is stored for no more than 4 (four) weeks.

For Royalty Beneficiaries and Trade Suppliers, we hold the data for the length of the specific contract and for a further 3 years to allow the auditors and Tax authorities sufficient time to carry out any compliance procedures that may be necessary.
